Freeze-dried foods are a great alternative to live foods, more especially, if you do not or cannot harvest live cultures yourself.
I do not culture these freeze-dried foods myself not do I have anything to do with their processing. However, I can assure you that these freeze-dried foods are pathogen free - no bacteria or parasites. This is due to the way they are cultured, maintained and processed prior to and during the freeze-drying process.

These freeze-dried foods are good for ALL freshwater fish as well as ALL saltwater fish. Because they are very high in protein, they should not be fed to your fish as a main staple of their diets. If you supplement your regular feedings by feeding freeze-dried foods to your fish every other day or every third day as a treat for your fish, you will be feeding them appropriately. During a conditioning period, they may be fed more.
